In River of Gold, players take on the role of river merchants allied with legendary samurai clans, each vying to exploit the river to earn wealth, glory, and wisdom.

Will you invest in developing ports, markets, shrines, and more along the banks of the busy river? Or will you rely upon sailing the river of gold, growing your wealth and influence through delivery contracts, visiting the nobility, and garnering a bit of divine favor during tough times?

Build your trade empire on the River of Gold while fiercely vying for influential status among the nobility of Rokugan - a legendary world where divine favor can alter your fortune.

Each turn your die roll presents three unique opportunities, but you can choose only one; grow your trade empire by building along the banks of the river, set sail downriver to load your ships with cargo and gold, or complete a valuable contract with an influential customer. If the die result doesn't suit your plan, you can leverage the divine favor of the gods to manipulate fate!
