Stalingrad, winter 1942. Amid the bloodiest battle of the 20th century, the hungry dead have arisen. In a matter of days, two of the strongest armies the world has ever known are shattered, torn apart by an impartial, implacable foe.

The corpse city on the Volga is cut off, occupied only by undead and a rapidly dwindling number of living people. People who are no longer concerned about nationality or ideology but only survival.
